Every switch needs a driver – the right driver makes a difference. Power electronics applications employ power device switches. And power device switches require optimum gate drive solutions. That’s why we offer more than 500 EiceDRIVER™ gate driver IC solutions suitable for any power switch, and any application.

EiceDRIVER™ gate drivers provide a wide range of typical output current options, from 0.1-A up to 10-A. Robust gate drive protection features such as fast short-circuit protection (DESAT), active Miller clamp, shoot-through protection, fault, shutdown, and over current protection, make these driver ICs well-suited for both silicon and wide-bandgap power devices, including CoolGaN™, and CoolSiC™. High Side Gate Drivers

Single-channel and dual-channel high-side gate-driver ICs to control MOSFETs and IGBTs
EiceDRIVER™ high-side gate-driver ICs include isolated gate drivers, level-shift gate driver options and a non-isolated gate driver family which, thanks to its truly differential control inputs, can be used as a high-side driver. We provide one-channel and two-channel galvanically isolated-gate driver ICs, some include advanced protection features like DESAT and active Miller clamp and some carry UL and VDE certification. Multiple UVLO threshold options are offered to best fit the driving of OptiMOS™ power MOSFETs, CoolMOS™ superjunction MOSFETs, CoolSiC™ MOSFETs and CoolGaN™ HEMTs.

We also provide one-channel level-shift high-side gate-driver ICs with over-current protection, perfect for buck topology. Automotive qualified high-side gate-driver ICs are included as well. The non-isolated TDI gate-driver family can be an attractive choice where high-side voltages reach not more than 100V, as is the case in some buck-boost circuitries, battery-powered motor drive applications and half-bridge or full-bridge synchronous rectification units.

Low Side Drivers

Single channel and dual channel low side gate driver ICs to control MOSFETs and IGBTs
EiceDRIVER™ low side gate driver ICs utilize low-voltage circuitry with the robust technology of high-voltage gate drivers, and the state-of-the-art 0.13-µm process. Our world-class fabrication techniques enable high-current gate drivers for high-power-density applications in industry-standard DSO-8 and small form-factor SOT23 and WSON packages.

We offer comprehensive families of single-low-side and dual-low-side gate driver ICs with flexible options for output current, logic configurations, packages, and protection features such as under-voltage lockout (UVLO), integrated overcurrent protection (OCP), and truly differential inputs (TDI). We also offer automotive qualified low side gate driver.

High and Low Side Drivers

High side and low side gate driver ICs to control MOSFETs and IGBTs
Our gate driver IC solutions are the expert’s choice. We offer high and low side gate drivers with two non-interlocked channels.
Now including the new 650 V high and low side silicon on insulator (SOI) gate driver ICs with high current (2.5 A) and low current (0.7 A) option. Half-Bridge Drivers

Full Bridge Drivers

Gate Driver ICs to control power devices like MOSFETs or IGBTs in full bridge configurations

We offer full bridge gate driver ICs, which have four channels in one package with two independent half bridges, with shoot through protection. The IRS2453D family has self-oscillating feature, suitable for HID lighting application. The IR2086S is a self oscillating full-bridge controller and driver IC with 50% duty cycle ideally suited for 36V-75V full-bridge DC Bus Converters.

We also offer automotive qualified full bridge gate driver ICs.

Three Phase Drivers

Gate Driver ICs to control power devices like MOSFETs or IGBTs in three phase topology
Our gate driver IC solutions are the expert’s choice. We offer three phase gate drivers, six channels in a package with three independent half bridges. We also provide three phase gate driver ICs with advanced Infineon silicon on insulator (SOI) technologies. With excellent ruggedness and noise immunity, these gate drivers are perfect for motor drives, home appliance, and battery powered applications.

Automotive qualified three phase gate driver ICs are also available.

Driver Boards

EiceDRIVER™ gate driver boards for Infineon IGBT modules up to 1700 V with reinforced isolation.
Dual channel high voltage IGBT driver board with high peak output current of 30 A, integrated DC-DC, SMPS, soft shut down in fault conditions, dynamic over current detection and IGBT desaturation monitoring.

Gate Driver Support ICs

Current sense ICs and high voltage start up ICs for MOSFETs and IGBTs
Our solutions are the expert’s choice. We provide current sense ICs (IR2175 family) for sensing the motor phase current through an external shunt resistor, converts from analog to digital signal, and transfers the signal to the low side. Current sensing across a high voltage offset between sense input and data output.

We also offer high voltage start up ICs (IRS25751 family) to provide easy and fast circuit start-up while enabling low circuit standby losses.
These simple ICs are used in common circuit elements, giving designers the flexibility to innovate. The family is a basic toolkit containing ICs for common circuit elements in power electronics.

Automotive Gate Driver ICs

Infineon´s comprehensive portfolio of Automotive qualified Gate Driver ICs helps simplify design, and optimize performance in all Fets and IGBTs driving stages.
Infineon offers a wide range of automotive qualified gate driver ICs covering the usage of MOSFET, IGBT and SiC technologies in automotive applications ranging from 12 V up to 1200 V. Built-in protection, monitoring and diagnostic features facilitate to meet ISO26262 functional safety requirements.

Infineon’s automotive qualified gate driver ICs cover the low voltage domain of 12 V and 48 V applications with ISO26262 compliant full-bridge and 3-phase bridge drivers. The products are ideal for a variety of automotive applications such as electric power steering, brake booster, MHEV starter generator, active roll control, HVAC compressor as well as pumps and fans and where efficiency, space savings and monitoring functions are priorities.

Infineon’s automotive EiceDRIVER™ provide galvanic isolation for automotive applications above 5kW such as the main inverter, DCDC converter and on-board charger in (hybrid) electric vehicles and support IGBT and SiC technologies up to 1200V.

Our fast switching automotive High Voltage ICs increase efficiency in all high voltage auxiliary applications such as HVAC compressor, PTC Heater, on-board Charger as well as pumps and fans to maximize performance in (hybrid) electric vehicles.
